Philani Ngidi - Band Manager and Multifaceted Musician

Philani Ngidi is an extraordinary talent in the world of music, showcasing his exceptional skills as a bass guitar soloist, composer, arranger, musical director, producer, session musician, and a master of collaborative projects. His illustrious career has seen him collaborate and record with an impressive roster of artists, including luminaries like Busi Mhlongo, Ray Phiri, Ernie Smith, Judith Sephuma, Gloria Bosman, Bheki Mseleku, Oliver Mtukudzi, and many others.

Notably, Philani served as the musical director for the late Ronnie Jordan in the Southern African region. His musical journey has taken him across the globe, with extensive work in the Middle East and Europe, as well as touring Australia and America with Mbongeni Ngema. Furthermore, he led a band that toured with the "Miles Davis Art Exhibition" in the Middle East, showcasing his versatility and expertise.

His contributions to the music scene have been recognized and celebrated, earning him a certificate of appreciation from the Ethekweni Mayor, Mr. James Nxumalo, for his significant musical contributions to the vibrant city of Durban.
